One of our team members, Bipasha Patel, helped us design our website using! It makes it so easy to create a beautiful website. Our graphic designers, Bipasha Patel and Teju Calambakkam, also use Canva to create our Instagram photos. They help us keep our aesthetic, something that we feel is important!

Someone who inspires you and knowledge they have imparted:
Malala Yousafzai inspires them because of her passion to educate girls and women despite the hardships she has faced. She has inspired Sweta and Divya to educate girls around the world, since education is so valuable.

 What song makes you want to dance, gives you courage to face the day, or makes you feel strong:
The song that Sweta says makes her feel strong is “Empire State of Mind,” by Jay Z. and Alicia Keys. Divya says “Champion,” by Fall Out Boy gives her courage because of its inspiring message. 

Challenge you’ve faced and how overcame it:
A challenge that both of us and a lot of other people face is that when things get tough, it is difficult to not give up. Being the Founders of an organization takes a lot of planning, leading, and facilitating. Sometimes, things do not always go as planned, or there is a lot on our plates. Understanding that there are ups and downs to success allow us to keep going and pursuing our goals!

Ideal Job:
Sweta Srinivasan wants to be an orthopedic surgeon. However in her free time, she enjoys working on Girls for Science to empower the next generation of girls.
Divya Srinivasan also wants to work in the medical field, working with patients and being a part of their healthcare journey. Later in her life, Divya would like to run for office in Florida to better serve the community and its hardworking people.

What knowledge would you impart to women in order for them to REIGN their lives?
Just keep moving forward and be passionate about what you do, because in the end you will be successful and make positive change. Despite all of the hardships that you might face while trying to achieve your goals, persevering and not giving up will be vital for success! 

Sweta Srinivasan and Divya Srinivasan are twin sisters and the founders of Girls for Science. Divya is a modern art enthusiast and Sweta loves trying out new coffee shops! Sweta and Divya have been competing in science competitions since 4th grade. In their sophomore year of high school, the two worked on a project about mental health and at the State Science and Engineering Fair of Florida, they won 4th in their category!
